Tian Yeung smiles in front of a tree, ready to provide online therapy in Michigan.

Get to know me

My journey into mental health is deeply personal, beginning in adolescence when I grappled with depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Facing these challenges with limited resources and the stigma surrounding mental health ignited my passion to study psychology. I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of these conditions. After earning my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, I continued at the same institution to pursue a Master of Social Work. I wanted to learn a more holistic approach to understanding how environmental factors influence and contribute to mental health conditions.

Throughout my career, I’ve provided individual online therapy in Michigan to a diverse clientele, from adolescents to adults, and have facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups. I describe my clinical style as eclectic and adaptable, incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and somatic interventions. This diverse expertise underscores my comprehensive understanding of mental health and allows me to tailor my approach to meet individual needs. That said, I am always driven to learn more.
